
June 2, 2011 - UAE Embassy, Washington, DC – The Media Department hosted students and staff of the Ibrahim Leadership and Dialogue Project for an orientation session on the UAE for their upcoming trip to Dubai. The project, sponsored by the Ibrahim Family Foundation (IFF) and administered by the Institute of the International Education (IIE), enables the group to gain firsthand experience with dialogue efforts in the Middle East. Following the orientation session in Washington, DC, the students will embark on a two-week tour of the Middle East. Mr. Bader Bin Saeed, Head of the Media Department, gave the group a detailed introduction on the UAE and led an open discussion.
May 18, 2011 - UAE Embassy, Washington, DC – The Media Department hosted a reception for a group of professionals and graduate students from the American University Peacebuilding and Development Institute. The multicultural group is participating in the Summer Professional Training program which enables them to achieve a broader perspective on the region. Mr. Bader Bin Saeed, Head of the Media Department, gave the group a detailed introduction on the history of the UAE and showed a video highlighting how the Emirates were formed. The reception was concluded with an open discussion between the group and Embassy staff.
WASHINGTON, DC (12 December 2011) – His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, United Arab Emirates Minister of Foreign Affairs, today began a working visit to Washington, DC, where he will meet with US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, senior Obama Administration officials and Members of Congress to discuss regional issues, and other areas of mutual interest. During the visit, His Highness will emphasize to US officials the deep bilateral relationship between the UAE and US, and seek to enhance future cooperation.
