His Excellency Ambassador Yousef Al Otaiba and His Excellency Dr. Anwar Gargash, UAE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, recently met with US foreign policy experts and journalists at a briefing hosted by the Nixon Center. The senior diplomats discussed the UAE’s perspective on regional security issues, including Iran, Afghanistan and the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Ambassador Al Otaiba and Minister Gargash also discussed the UAE’s proposed civilian nuclear energy program, and the program’s approach to transparency and nonproliferation.
The Nixon Center is a non-partisan institution in Washington, DC that examines matters of US national interest, while taking into account the perspectives of other nations.
