January 13, 2009

The US-UAE Business Council, created in 2007, demonstrates how business-to-business initiatives drive the expanding commercial relationship between the UAE and the United States. The Council is a collaboration of leading companies based in the United States and United Arab Emirates, committed to expanding bi-lateral commercial opportunities between the two countries.

The Council monitors and advocates for policies and initiatives of critical importance to bilateral business, and provides ongoing updates on the business climate in both countries.

The UAE is the largest export market for US goods in the Arab world, totaling $14.4 billion in 2008. More than 750 US companies have a presence in the UAE, from Starbucks to ExxonMobil.
