A team from the UAE Embassy's media section visited Beech Tree Elementary School on November 24th, 2009. The visit is part of the “Kids Informative Program” designed to introduce elementary school students in Fairfax County, Virginia to the UAE. The program uses the work of UAE Cartoonist “Freej” as an entertaining and informative tool to educate students about UAE culture. Head of the Media Section, Bader Bin Saeed, also answered questions from the students. The program will later be expanded to cover more elementary schools in Fairfax County. Two hundred and twenty five students, the head of the Arabic section at the school, eight teachers and the school’s principal, Ms. Terry Philips, attended the event.
