New Zogby poll shows UAE citizens support President Obama

WASHINGTON, DC (26 June 2009) - A survey conducted after President Barack Obama's speech in Cairo among UAE citizens and Arab residents found overwhelming support for the United States president. More than three-quarters of the respondents had a favorable opinion of President Obama, and over 80 percent said their perception of the United States improved since President Obama took office.

Almost 9 out of every 10 people polled had a positive opinion of the President's Cairo speech, and respondents were also overwhelmingly optimistic that the Obama administration will improve US-Arab relations.
