UAE Ambassador Yousef Al Otaiba Highlights Strength of UAE-US Economic Partnership that Supports Hundreds of Thousands of US Jobs

New Orders for 265 Boeing Airplanes; New Deals with Lockheed, Raytheon

Washington (November 27, 2017) – US companies were the big winners at the 2017 Dubai Airshow as UAE customers placed more than $44 billion in new orders for commercial aircraft and defense-related equipment and services.

Washington, DC, [November 4, 2017] – United Arab Emirates President, His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan today issued a decree promoting Ambassador Yousef Al Otaiba to the rank of Minister. In the announcement, His Highness Sheikh Khalifa recognized Minister Al Otaiba’s loyal service to his country and his nine-year leadership to build closer ties with United States.

WASHINGTON, October 24, 2017 – Ambassador Yousef Al Otaiba met with United States Secretary of Transportation Elaine Chao in Washington. The Ambassador and the Secretary discussed the significant trade ties between the UAE and US and affirmed their mutual interest in continuing to expand the bilateral economic relationship.
