Statement by the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates Regarding Sudan
December 11, 2025
The Sudanese people have suffered for over two and a half years from a brutal civil war between two Generals, which has resulted in countless civilians killed; hospitals, homes, and health-care systems destroyed; the world’s largest food security crisis; and civilians facing an appalling combination of atrocities including starvation, mass displacement, and sexual and gender-based violence. Recent humanitarian assessments indicate that over 30.4 million people – more than half of Sudan’s population – require urgent humanitarian or protection assistance.
