Here in the United States, the spring academic semester is well underway and has brought over 1,000 Emirati students back to study at universities across the country. As the newly appointed Education and Technology Sciences Attaché for the UAE in the US, working with these students as they learn, grow and achieve their educational goals is already a highlight of my post.

The United Arab Emirates remains the United States’ top export destination for the entire Middle East & North Africa (MENA) region for the thirteenth year in a row, according to data released by the Census Bureau’s Foreign Trade Division at the U.S. Department of Commerce.

WASHINGTON, DC (February 2, 2022) – During a call between Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin, the two leaders discussed enhanced bilateral measures to counter Houthi terrorist acts against civilian infrastructure around Abu Dhabi International Airport and Al Dhafra Air Base, which houses thousands of US military personnel.

Writing in the February 1 print edition of the Wall Street Journal, Ambassador Al Otaiba and Ambassador Nusseibeh call for the US re-designation of the Houthis as a Foreign Terrorist Organization and for broad diplomatic unity to contain Houthi aggression.

On International Holocaust Remembrance Day, we join the international community in preserving the memory of the six million Jews and millions of others murdered by the Nazis.

Today, we are reminded of our shared responsibility to confront antisemitism and extremism, in all forms and wherever it exists. We must continue to promote mutual respect and inclusion of all faiths, and condemn those who pursue violence in the name of hate. We all must remember and we will never forget.
