"Welcoming joint efforts to de-escalate tensions and for renewed regional dialogue, the UAE will work closely with the Biden Administration on a comprehensive approach to Middle East peace and stability. As in previous transitions, the UAE anticipated a review of current policies by the new administration.

Last July, the United Arab Emirates became the first Arab nation to launch a mission to Mars. The Emirates Mars Mission’s Hope probe is on schedule to enter into orbit around the “Red Planet” on February 9, making the UAE just the fifth country in history to reach Mars.

January 21, 2021 – On Tuesday, the United Arab Emirates finalized letters of agreement (LOAs) with the US Government for the acquisition of F-35 Joint Strike Fighter aircraft and other defense equipment, as previously announced. The LOAs confirm the terms of the UAE purchase, including costs, technical specifications and anticipated delivery schedules.

Washington, DC – Today, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Embassy in Washington, DC celebrated the country’s 49th National Day through a virtual program that highlighted the UAE’s shared achievements with partners in 2020, including cooperation to address the COVID-19 pandemic, the launch of the Hope Probe to Mars and the historic signing of the Abraham Accords between the UAE and Israel.

The United Arab Emirates and the United States signed an Enhanced Consular Privileges and Immunities Agreement that will provide enhanced protections to Emirati and American consular staff in both countries. The agreement will enable consular staff to better protect the interests of citizens abroad. As an important strategic partner of the US, the UAE remains committed to maintaining stability in the Gulf, creating economic prosperity for both countries and increasing cultural understanding between our citizens.
