ABU DHABI, April 23, 2021 (WAM) - The United Arab Emirates and the United States, with support from the United Kingdom, Brazil, Denmark, Israel, Singapore, Australia and Uruguay, today announce the Agriculture Innovation Mission for Climate (AIM for Climate) at President Biden’s Leaders Summit on Climate today. The initiative aims to increase and accelerate global agricultural innovation and research and development (R&D) over the next five years, to address climate change.

ABU DHABI, (WAM) - U.S. Special Presidential Envoy for Climate, John Kerry, today visited a number of the United Arab Emirates’ (UAE's) major strategic projects supporting the country's efforts in the field of clean energy, limiting the consequences of climate change, and promoting sustainable development at the local and global levels.

January 21, 2021 – On Tuesday, the United Arab Emirates finalized letters of agreement (LOAs) with the US Government for the acquisition of F-35 Joint Strike Fighter aircraft and other defense equipment, as previously announced. The LOAs confirm the terms of the UAE purchase, including costs, technical specifications and anticipated delivery schedules.  

The United Arab Emirates and the United States signed an Enhanced Consular Privileges and Immunities Agreement that will provide enhanced protections to Emirati and American consular staff in both countries. The agreement will enable consular staff to better protect the interests of citizens abroad. As an important strategic partner of the US, the UAE remains committed to maintaining stability in the Gulf, creating economic prosperity for both countries and increasing cultural understanding between our citizens.
