The evidence recently presented by Ambassador Haley shines a bright light on the Iranian regime’s blatant disregard for international agreements, and its persistent attempts to interfere in the affairs of other countries.
The transfer and use of Iranian military equipment in Yemen has been well-documented by the UAE government, other countries and third-party experts. With Tehran’s backing, the Houthi militants have prolonged a war and humanitarian crisis in Yemen that has led to civilian deaths and destruction.
For a long time, Iran has undermined stability in the region through its support for terrorist and proxy groups. The US government’s assessment further confirms that Iran continues to expand its damaging influence. It is time for the global community to hold Iran responsible for its destructive actions.
