UAE, US Sign Agreement on Educational Exchanges

Dr. Hanif Hassan, UAE Minister of Education, and Margaret Spellings, US Secretary of Education, signed a memorandum of understanding on teacher and student exchanges between the two countries. Exchanges could begin as early as fall 2009, and Secretary Spellings said the agreement will help to reduce misunderstanding between the US and the Arab World, and will lead to cooperation on “key issues.”
